The Budget Revote is June 21, 2022.

    Dear East Ramapo Community,

On Tuesday, June 21, residents will be asked to approve a revised budget for the 2022-23 academic year. With slight modifications to the fiscal plan presented to voters on May 17, the East Ramapo Central School District’s revised budget balances the needs of the taxpayers while maintaining quality student educational programs and supports. This proposed budget is the result of very difficult work and a dedication to the fiscally responsible approach of moving our school district forward through an era of rebuilding and regrowth. The Board of Education remains sensitive to the tax burden on the community, and has lowered the proposed tax levy increase from 3.96% to 1.63%, which is within the New York State tax levy cap. The spending plan represents a budget decrease of 4.96% over last year. On behalf of the Board of Education and the administration, we thank the community for your continued support. Please vote on Tuesday, June 21 to ensure our children have the tools and opportunities needed to succeed.

Yehuda Weissmandl President, Board of Education
Dr. Clarence G. Ellis Superintendent of Schools
