• Military Voter

    Military voters who are not currently registered may apply to register as qualified voters of the school district.

    An application for registration as a military voter can be requested by emailing District Clerk Kathi Kivi kkivi@ercsd.org. The application for registration must be received in the office of the clerk by mailing or delivering in person to:

     In the request for an application for registration, the military voter is permitted to designate his/her preference for receiving the application for registration or the ballot by mail, facsimile transmission or electronic mail. Failure to designate a preference or to provide the information necessary for use of the preference will result in the District using regular mail to send requested materials (8NYCRR § 122.4(3)).

    Military Voter Absentee Ballot Request

    Military voters who want to have their absentee ballot sent (mail, email or fax) to their military address must follow the directions below.

    Military voters who are qualified voters of the District may submit an application for a military ballot by mailing or delivering in person to:

     In order to receive a military ballot. The military ballot application must be received no later than 5:00 pm on April 25, 2024. In the request for an application for a military ballot, the military voter is permitted to designate his/her preference for receiving the application for a military ballot, and the military ballot, by mail, facsimile transmission or electronic mail. If a military voter does not designate a preference, the Board of Education shall transmit the military ballot application or military ballot by mail. All qualified military voters’ ballot applications and military ballots must be returned by mail or in person, regardless of how the absentee application or ballot was received.

    Ballots for military voters shall be distributed to qualified military voters no later than April 26, 2024. Military ballots must be received (1) by the District Clerk no later than 5:00 p.m. on Budget Vote day, and must show a cancellation mark of the United States Postal Service or a foreign country’s postal service, or must show a dated endorsement of receipt by another agency of the United States Government; or (2) not later than 5:00 pm on Budget Vote day, and be signed and dated by the military voter and one witness, with a date ascertained to be not later than the day before the election.
