    October is National Principals Month, when students, teachers, staff and parents show the leader of the school how much they are appreciated. All month long, we will be showing videos featuring our 14 outstanding East Ramapo Central School District Principals and their approach to leading their respective schools.

    Equitable access to technology and internet service for each student is a priority for the East Ramapo Central School District. Each year the New York State Education Department surveys parents and guardians regarding computing devices and high-speed internet access at home for each child in their household.

    Across East Ramapo Central School District, September is the month for goal setting. The objectives of the year are set in motion by the Superintendent, District Administrators and all fourteen school Principals who lead change, inspire creativity and empower the teachers and staff.

  • Three New East Ramapo Principals Confidently Take the Helm

    Join East Ramapo Central School District in welcoming three new principals to the district for the 2022-23 school year. The school leaders of Elmwood and Chestnut Ridge Middle School were promoted from within the district’s ranks and Pomona Middle School’s new Principal is a proud graduate of the district.

  • Roundup Notes September 16, 2022

    Last week, we had the privilege of greeting East Ramapo students as they arrived in our schools, classrooms, labs, libraries, cafeterias, gymnasiums and fields. For our little learners, this meant learning how to sit in a circle and wait their turn, but for the returning students it meant becoming familiar with the ambitious academic expectations in front of them.

  • East Ramapo Subway Series Football Game: A Battle for the Challenge Cup

    For the first time since 2019, East Ramapo will have the East Ramapo Subway Series this Saturday, 9/17 at 1:00 p.m. playing for the “Challenge Cup”. The Spring Valley Tigers’ football team will head to Ramapo to take on the Gryphons, and we expect to see both schools’ spirit on full display!
